Central Oxford Osteopathy History

Central Oxford Osteopathy was founded by Principal Osteopath Jamie Dearing in 2011, creating a warm, welcoming clinic in the heart of historic Oxford. For our first ten years, we were located by Frideswide Square. We now occupy a beautiful Victorian building on the Abingdon Road, overlooking University playing fields and next to Hinksey Park.

Jamie trained and initially practiced in London, before moving with his family to Oxford. Since then his practice has grown with the addition of Associate Osteopaths, and diversified by hosting a wider range of health professionals – from acupuncture practitioners to talking therapists.

IDD Therapy: Spinal Decompression in Oxford

Get long-term relief from chronic back pain, sciatica and disc injuries — without injections or surgery. IDD Therapy (Intervertebral Differential Dynamics) is the leading form of non-surgical spinal decompression, gently but effectively relieving pressure on problematic spinal discs while improving mobility and supporting long-term healing.

Using the Accu-SPINA system — globally recognised as the gold standard — IDD Therapy allows us to decompress a specific spinal level, something traditional traction could never do.

Conditions treated: Herniated or bulging discs, sciatica & nerve pain, degenerative disc disease, facet joint syndrome, spinal stenosis, and chronic back or neck pain.
